HANDiY is an online platform that connects homeowners with independent experts and contractors for remote guidance and in-person work referrals.
HANDiY itself does not provide repair, construction, or other professional services and is not the employer of the experts and contractors who use the platform.
No guarantee of outcomes
HANDiY does not guarantee any specific repair outcome, project result, or contractor performance. Guidance provided through the platform is informational only.
User responsibility
Users are responsible for their own decisions, actions, and safety during any DIY project. You should not attempt work that exceeds your skill level or that may create a safety hazard.
Independent providers
Experts and contractors using HANDiY are independent third parties. They are not employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers of HANDiY.
Account suspension and termination
HANDiY may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts at its discretion for misuse, fraud, abuse, safety concerns, or violation of these terms or our policies.
Disclaimer of warranties
HANDiY is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including (but not limited to) implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that guidance, contractor referrals, or session outcomes will meet your expectations.
HANDiY does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components, and does not warrant the work, quality, licensing, or insurance status of any independent expert or contractor that uses the platform.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HANDiY, its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or property damage, arising out of or related to your use of HANDiY, any expert guidance, any contractor referral, or any work performed by an independent expert or contractor, even if HANDiY has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
HANDiY's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the platform is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to HANDiY in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
Refunds
Refund eligibility, overage charges, and dispute handling are described in the HANDiY Refund & Dispute Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Updates
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of HANDiY after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
